Last month, October, the FEHA team returned to Tech in Asia Jakarta 2025, this time as visitors. It felt a little different from last year, when FEHA proudly joined as one of the event sponsors. The vibe was still exciting and filled with passionate people, but we noticed some changes compared to the previous event.

Unlike 2024’s large-scale setup, this year’s event was smaller, especially in the startup area, which felt surprisingly compact. Still, the energy and curiosity from attendees reminded us why Tech in Asia remains one of Southeast Asia’s most anticipated tech gatherings.

One of the crucial topics we noticed at Tech in Asia Jakarta 2025 was how AI dominated almost every conversation. From automating work to improving customer experience, AI was everywhere. It really confirmed our belief at FEHA that AI plus human expertise is the future of compliance and cybersecurity. Seeing so many companies' using automation and smart tools made us even more confident that we’re on the right path.

We also noticed how Indonesia’s startup scene is growing fast. Even though the startup area was smaller this year, the quality of ideas and discussions was better. Many founders are now paying more attention to data protection, privacy laws, and digital trust; especially with standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and the PDP Law becoming more important in Indonesia, hopefully. It’s great to see more startups understanding that security and compliance are key to going global.

Since this year we came as visitors, not a sponsor; we had more time to explore, learn, and connect. Without a booth to manage, we could walk around, join talks, and chat freely with other participants, investors, and founders. Some of the best insights actually came from those casual conversations, a reminder that real connections often happen naturally. Even though this year’s Tech in Asia was smaller, it was still full of energy and inspiration.  

🌏 Looking Ahead

While this year’s Tech in Asia in Jakarta might have been smaller in scale, it still delivered big insights and inspiration. It was a reminder that the strength of the ecosystem isn’t just in the size of the event, but in the passion of its people.
